Maldives has won the bid to host the SAFF Championship of 2021.
The 13th SAFF Championship is scheduled to be played between 1st to 13 of October in the Maldives. Nepal and Maldives bid for the championship after Bangladesh withdrew as hosts.
Defending Champions and hosts Maldives, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation, while Bhutan is yet to decide.
In 2008 Maldives was joint hosts along with Sri Lanka, when Maldives won their first SAFF Championship. Maldives is the defending champions winning the 2018 edition.
