Veteran coach, Ali Suzain is set to rejoin the national team at their Qatar base.
After recovering from Covid-19, Coach Ali Suzain travelled to Qatar earlier tonight. Maldives will be camping in Qatar until the 28th of September. They will be back in time for the first match against Nepal on the 1st of October. In the absence of Suzain, the team is being handled by assistant coach Mahfooz Ismail(Imma) former legendary midfield player who is also the coach of Dhivehi Premier League side, Da Grande.
Maldives will play two friendly matches against Qatari second tier teams before heading back.
